Data Processing Information

Last updated on August 21, 2026

This privacy information describes how FraudFalcon collects and processes data to provide fraud detection services for your Shopify store.

What Data We Collect

Our Fraud Detector app collects and processes the following customer data to detect potential fraudulent orders:

Order information (order ID, date, amount, products)

Customer details:

Name
Email address
Billing address
Shipping address
IP address
Order history
Payment information (method used, not actual payment details)

Why We Process This Data

Analyze order patterns for suspicious activity

Compare shipping and billing addresses

Check for known fraud patterns

Validate customer information

Generate risk scores for orders

Automatically flag or cancel suspicious orders based on your configured rules

How We Use The Data

All data is used exclusively for fraud detection purposes

We do not use the data for marketing or share it with third parties

Data is processed automatically through our fraud detection algorithms

Results are only shared with the merchant who owns the store

Checkout Block Telemetry (Web Pixel)

A checkout rule stops a risky checkout before an order exists, so there is no order to report on. To show the merchant what their rules blocked, FraudFalcon can register a web pixel in the store checkout. The merchant grants this permission separately, after installing the app. Without that grant no pixel is registered and no checkout data is collected.

When a FraudFalcon rule blocks a checkout, the pixel sends us:

The block message the buyer was shown

The email address entered at checkout

The cart total and the shipping country

The time of the block and the raw checkout event that carried it

The pixel reports only checkouts our own rules blocked. It does not track browsing, purchases, or successful checkouts, and it does not build buyer profiles.

The data serves fraud prevention reporting for the store that collected it. It is not used for analytics, marketing, or preference tracking, it is never sold, and it is never shared with third parties.

A customer redaction request deletes that buyer's block records. A shop redaction request deletes every block record for the store. Shopify sends a shop redaction request after a merchant uninstalls.
