Blockify is the biggest app in this category and the one most merchants find first. People who look elsewhere are usually not unhappy with it. They have worked out that their fraud does not arrive from a country they can block.

Read your last twenty bad orders before you decide anything. If they share a country or an IP range, stay where you are. If they look like ordinary orders from ordinary places, you need a different kind of tool.

How to switch without breaking anything

Time investment: About an hour if you only had a handful of country rules. Half a day if you are rebuilding real conditional logic.

Before you start

  • Your last twenty fraudulent or abusive orders, with the country, the IP, the email, and the cart value. That tells you whether a network blocker or an order rule is the right tool.
  • The list of countries, IP ranges, and visitors you block today, so the new setup matches the behaviour you already rely on.
  • Your payment gateway, because Shopify's own free checkout rules need Shopify Payments and that decides whether the free route is open to you.

Where this breaks

  • Uninstalling Blockify removes its storefront blocking the same day. Any bot or scraper it was holding back comes straight back.
  • Two apps that both cancel orders will act on the same order. Turn one off before you enable the other.
  • A country rule and an order rule are not interchangeable. Moving a geo block into a post-order rule means the visitor still reaches your store and still places the order.
